Following a £9.1 million regeneration project, Caldicot Town Centre is thriving. Footfall has increased and small businesses have benefitted as a result of social media support, local promotion and increased footfall. Diversifying the town centre by offering a wide variety of events and projects throughout each year, including a family fun day, food festivals and specialised markets. These events give local traders the opportunity to interact with their customers in a more relaxed atmosphere. The Caldicot Town Team also run treasure hunts within the town centre each year. These take advantage of the local businesses, where items are hidden in shops for the families to track down. This helps bring people into shops that they may not usually frequent and provides a wide range of products on offer by local businesses. As well as supporting independent businesses with Fiver Fest and social media promotions as well as their flagship project Caldicot Goes Pop! bringing small businesses run from home, market traders and those wishing to start a business the chance to open up within our pop up shop in empty retail premises within the town centre. Free WiFi has also been installed throughout the town centre and is offered to local businesses free of charge.
